What this list is, and what it is not

This is a list of companies, including this one, that appeared on the Nevada State Contractors Board register with an active licence when we searched it, together with the service area each company publishes on its own website. Every company here is a real alternative to calling us, which is the point of publishing it.

It is not a ranking, a recommendation or a rating. Nobody paid to be on it and nobody was left off for being inconvenient. We have no way to tell you which of these companies will do the best job on your door, and a page that pretended otherwise would be worth less than nothing to you.

Every claim about another company on this page was taken from that company's own website or from the Nevada State Contractors Board public licence register, and checked on September 19, 2026.

The Nevada State Contractors Board publishes that register as a courtesy and does not guarantee that it is complete or current, so every licence line here is what the register showed on September 19, 2026 rather than a statement about the business behind it.

Garage door companies with an active Nevada licence, serving Las Vegas

Alphabetical, because any other order would be an opinion. The trading name is the one each company uses on its own website, and the licence is the one the register returned for it.

There is no licence classification column here, and that is deliberate rather than an oversight. The classifications in this list are not all the same, and a class code printed next to a company name invites a conclusion that the code on its own does not support. The register shows every classification in full, the licence numbers below are what you need to look any of them up, and that is the right place to read it.

What some of these companies publish about themselves

Every line above and below was read on September 19, 2026, from the register or from the company's own site. Where a company publishes a statement about who it is, here it is in its own words, quoted rather than summarised, because a summary of somebody else's claim is our sentence and not theirs.

Accurate Garage Door Services states on accurategarage.com that it "is a family owned and operated business" and that it "has been servicing the Las Vegas area for over 15 years".

Apple Garage Door Repair states on applegaragedoorrepair.com that it is "Veteran-owned" and has been "Serving Las Vegas since 2019".

A Plus Garage Doors states on aplusgaragedoor.com that it is a "family-owned and operated business".

Good Golly Garage Doors describes itself on its Las Vegas page as a "Family owned and operated network of really good people providing really good service".

JB Garage Door Repair states on jbgaragedoorrepair.com that it "is a completely insured and family owned business".

Martin Garage Doors of Nevada states on martindoorlv.com that it has been "Providing exceptional garage door services to Nevada & Arizona Since 1936".

Precision Overhead Door of Las Vegas publishes two things that belong together: the national site states that "Each Precision Garage Door Service franchise is an independently owned and operated small business", and its own Las Vegas site states "Locally Owned Since 2000. Nationally Backed."

None of those statements is something a customer can verify from outside, and none of them is repeated here as our finding. They are quoted because what a company chooses to say about itself is worth reading, not because it is proof.

How to shortlist from a list like this

A list of nine is not progress on its own. Four questions turn it into two phone calls.

First, does the company work on your kind of door. An RV door, a rolling steel curtain and a commercial operator are different machines from a house door, and a residential price list does not cover a fourteen foot opening. Ask directly and ask what they last fitted like it.

Second, what does the visit cost if you say no. That single answer decides whether you can afford a second opinion, which is the thing that protects you most.

Third, will you get a written, itemised price before anything is touched, showing which parts, how many, one spring or two, what cycle rating, and labour stated separately from parts.

Fourth, what are the warranty terms for your job, in writing. Not the headline on the website, the terms on your paperwork.

Ask any two companies on this list those four questions and the answers will do the sorting for you. Ask us the same four.
