The site was proposed in the mid 1980s as Sky Harbor Ranch, became Cosmo World, then Silver Canyon, and was cancelled in 1991 when Cosmo World went bankrupt. Forest City Enterprises bought it in 1993, American Nevada Corporation came in during January 1996, and development was properly under way by April 1996 with completion expected six to seven years out.
The practical consequence is that Seven Hills skipped a whole hardware generation. ZIP 89052 is 20.9 percent 1990s and 54.9 percent 2000s with a median year built of 2005, so a Seven Hills house is materially newer than the Henderson average and much newer than the mid 1980s planning date suggests. That is good news on openers, because everything here was installed well after the January 1993 rule that requires floor level safety sensors, and it is neutral news on springs, because a 2001 door on its original springs has now done more cycles than a standard spring is rated for.

Seven Hills runs a master association with gated sub-communities inside it, and the Rio Secco Golf Club sits in the middle of the community. Both facts turn into practical detail on a service call.
